Sanchez has some freakishly big hands, the biggest of all QB's at the combine if I remember correctly, 10.5"

    How did that work out?

Big hands are no match for a full-on ass attack!

Big hands can't be coached. Big hands is the most important thing for a quarterback. Skill is second. Big feet is third.

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

To answer the OP, there is a difference between correlation and causation. There are endless variables to consider which could lead to fumbles. Vick's hand size is probably not as significant as say, his tendency to run around the field like a chicken with his head cut off carrying the ball like a loaf of bread. So no, there shouldn't be much worry about Tannehill's hand size.

Chip Kelly will probably become known for erratic quotes in the NFL. Huge ego. If his team isn't winning big he'll manage the spotlight via other methods. This might be a test drive.

During the bowl game against Kansas State, the announcers quoted Kelly as saying that Marcus Mariota was an ideal quarterback for Oregon's system because he's quarterback first, athlete second. That's very true, and it's the reason I thought Mariota would win that job in 2012, whether or not Darron Thomas returned. I'm not sure of Mariota's hand size but he's very adept at extending the ball and carrying out the read option.

Kelly might have had the bulb go on toward what he needs in a quarterback last season. In his first year at Oregon, Jeremiah Masoli was short and rather pudgy.

Barkley doesn't seem to fit Kelly's style. Maybe the West Virginia kid. Otherwise I can't imagine who he would be tempted by. E. J. Manuel is too much the other way, athlete first and quarterback second. Granted, I didn't follow college personnel closely this season, with my dad's health issues.
