Peace and Humptiness Forever
I went with a Sanyo 55" LCD (maybe LED, can't remember ) last year at this time. It's been great.
However, glare was definately an issue for me when deciding. YMMV

Just because you don't agree with someone,
does not give you the right to attack them.
I am a plasma fan, my buddy has a panasonic plasma and its amazing. Its so clear. And the other posters are correct you get a nice TV for the price with a plasma...and they are more stylish to me as well.
LCD or LED...never had good luck with Plasma.
Thanks for the input guys. I am now concerned about the heat issue with the plasma. My wife likes to turn the tv on when she gets up and it stays on until bedtime (I think she has an ocd with having background noise).
I definitely recommend LED/LCD. Much lighter and easier to move, cheaper to fix if something goes wrong, and less power consumption. I bought a Samsung 42 inch LCD 4 years ago, and it still runs like it's brand new. I use it pretty frequently for gaming, and the wife likes to listen to music on it, so it gets used a lot. If you go LED/LCD, I highly recommend Samsung...

I just bought the 80" Sharp Aquos LED.
So I'm a little biased to the LED.
