My first and final 2013 mock with video (unless Ireland trades for Albert)

I'm really hoping we don't trade up and take another tackle with the 1st pick.

Round 1, Pick 12 (12) - Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

I've wanted Tyler Eifert to be on this team since last year. My opinion swayed a little with all the Tavon Austin hype, but I think he'll be gone unless the Dolphins trade up. If Eifert is there, they have to jump on it imo. A big receiving TE with his speed is more of a rare commodity than what Tavon Austin can bring. At 6'5 1/2", 250lbs, he's a big time red zone threat that we desperately need.

    Round 2, Pick 10 (42) - Justin Pugh, T/G, Syracuse
I like his flexibility. Remember, they've been developing Yeatman for a few years. Who knows? Maybe he blossoms into a nice tackle.

Round 2, Pick 22 (54) (From Colts) - Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State

He's not as fast as Tavon Austin but very quick and a former trackstar. I can't stress enough how much we need to upgrade the WR corps. The free agent signings aren't enough. Teams will bracket Wallace all day and force us to win games with Hartline, Bess, and Gibson all day if there are no other options. Id like to have Swope here, but his concussion history scares me away.

Round 3, Pick 15 (77) Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall

This guy is intriguing but raw. At 63, 210, he gives us another big target also. He has a knack for making acrobatic catches, one handed even.

    Round 3, Pick 20 (82) (From Bears )

Round 4, Pick 14 (111) Terry Hawthorne, CB, Illinois

Round 5, Pick 13 (146) Matt Scott, QB, Arizona

I subscribe to the Ron Wolf theory which is drafted a QB every year even if you feel that you already have one. QBs are valuable so its always good to have a nice stable of QBs to develop. Matt Scott is an elusive dual threat QB who throws well on the run.

Round 5, Pick 33 (166) (Compensatory Selection) - Best available power running back

Unless its a truly elite back, I prefer to draft running backs in later rounds. This position has the lowest shelf life and are the most easiest to replace.

    Round 7, Pick 11 (217) BPA
Round 7, Pick 18 (224) (From Cowboys) BPA
Round 7, Pick 44 (250) (Compensatory Selection) BPA

I think we have to take a corner earlier than that..

I want more corners too, but we have to protect Tannehill. Plus, there's a reason why our running game was average to bad last season.

God im so sick of seeing Dolphin fans on here mocking Eifert to us in the first round, I have not seen any other mock outside finheaven that has Miami selecting Eifert, thats because it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

How about some realistic mock drafts???

Here are two to the more detailed/frequently updated mocks I've enjoyed for a few years. And guess who they both have us picking?

He may not be the pick, but he is certainly a viable option
