That Obama is continuing a Bush program? Next up, water is wet.

When it comes to running up debt, blaming his predecessor, trashing the Constitution, breaking promises, etc, does any previous President compare? All he needs is Lewinsky and Paula Jones type scandals and he might be #1 in all categories!

Still doesn't change the fact it must sting.

Of course the DHS spokesperson would say that. Who would admit to that?

Clearly youve missed our foreign and education policy, not to mention stimulus spending.

Dead horse is dead. Anyone who is "stung" or surprised at this point...well, i just cant imagine.

If its illegal and they had no precedent i imagine they would just say "no comment" or feign surprise. Related cases and rulings have been pretty public, especially air port security cases. If the ACLU is to have any shot at all of changing this, it seems like they need to debate over how far the "border area" is.

How does Obama's foreign policy differ from Bush's?

Have there been any significant changes to public education? We're still near the top in spending and near the bottom in outcome.

Bush spent like drunken sailor, hence the accusations of him being a "RINO", but he is now looking somewhat thrifty by comparison.

Maybe. The government's MO lately seems to be just do whatever you want to and we'll deal with the legality issue if anyone notices, not that it will change anything.

"we don’t have the abilitty to just set up checkpoints willy-nilly,"
What a silly response from the spokesman. Of course they don't set them up "willy-nilly", they could pick any spot in the whole of Florida & they'd be under the jurisdiction of these constitution-free zones.

Surely you're no less outraged by it though, correct? I don't think the intent of the 4th amendment was supposed to protect from unreasonable search & seizures, unless of course you happen to live in
Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC, Hawaii, and Michigan.

It's straight bananas in my opinion.
