It's only obvious to a few of us that nothing has been said that would suggest that Jennings will prefer Miami over some other destination. Though the similarities between the Jennings situation and the Flynn situation are limited to entering free agency and having played with Green Bay, it's good to consider that any past relationship to Joe Philbin basically equals (in the media's eye) Miami potentially being interested because... well, this team needs talent that knows Joe's system, right? That's all it is. It immediately creates some demand for the player and totally benefits them.

You know what else is obvious? Joe has stressed his preference to build through the draft and through players he can mold to his blueprint. Jennings may be a good fit, I'll give him that. Whether or not Miami wants an expensive wide out will need to be seen. If it were me, I'd take Hartline's asking price and offer it to Jennings and then move forward from this topic. However, Joe may not want to do it that way.

What I heard was that he is preparing for life elsewhere where it will be the best fit for his family. Joe Philbin. Family man.

What i also heard is a nice human being who is humble after all his success. Those are the guys Philbin wants on his team. Philbin will give the extra money if need be IMO. Philbin will reward great character and work ethic, which is why Hartline is still in the picture. Everyone else is a bigger question mark in that regard.

Its also why I think Terrence Williams is a good fit here as well.

I think the money that he will be getting paid is more because he is both a good locker room guy and a productive receiver. Philbin is putting a large emphasis on how players are in the locker room.

I would be glad to have him. We will finally having a legit WR after Chambers and Marshall.

This stuff drives me crazy. Every year we hear the same thing, "oh, I'd love to come play for Miami!", and what happens, they sign somewhere else. Why? Because of the the money. The only way we get him over someone else is if we pay him the same or more than everyone else. While we have the cap, I don't think we will grossly overpay for FA's we want. We need to save some of that for other positions we need nearly as bad as WR.

Guys, we've seen this before. C'mon, he is going to go to the team that offers him the most money. Period. If that team is the Jaguars, then he's off to Jax.

I want Jennings more than Mike Wallace. Does anyone really think Wallace is a better fit for our offense? I see him more of a decoy for us than anything, and I see Jennings actually making plays for us
