In Your Opinion My Mock off-season for the fins

So, I'm a 20 year old college student in Ohio, and I am a huge Fins fan. In class one day, I found that this would help me pass the time. I'm aspiring to be a writer or public relations specialist in sports, so I figured this would be a good way to test my knowledge...

Here's my mock offseason attached, hopefully you guys think it's alright... I'll adjust the rookies as soon as the combine is over with! Go fins

Over paid on Clemons, Keller, and Hartline. I'd take that extra money and go out and get Wallace instead of Hartline at that point. I'd take Levitre but not at 9 mill. He'd go for either 7 or 8.

well hear me out.. the wide receiver market is pretty good this year, but there arent too many #2 receivers out there. There's jennings, bowe, wallace, welker, but those are the only big names. I dont think there's any chance we get two of those guys. So, I honestly believe that Hartline is the best #2 wr in the free agency, and I think we pay Hartline 6-7 mil. With Clemons, I wasn't even high on giving him 4 mil/yr, but i think for some reason this organization is obsessed with him. Surprisingly, he did ok last year. And for Keller, imagine how good that'd be if we had him. I think it's unlikely that we get him the more that i think about it, but it would be awesome because he knows the jets offense, he's fast, he's a decent blocker, and he can catch obviously. I think we should take a chance on him and give the jets a taste of their own medicine by stealing one of their players. And for Levitre, i just think if we lose Long we're going to have to overpay a lineman, because we can't afford to have another year of Tannehill getting beat up.

Agree that you overpaid for Hartline and Clemons.

Instead of tackling your entire plan, I'll just make one comment.

Let's say you give Hartline $6M (or $7M, as you have it) per year. Now your WR duo is Jennings and Hartline. And, as you have it, you draft a CB with your first pick.

You could, for basically similar money, sign a decent CB, and draft Patterson with your first pick. Now your WR duo is Jennings and Patterson.

    Which way do you prefer?

I actually like that too. I really like the fact that we have options. It really just depends who wants too much money and how much Ireland is trying to spend. I had the fins signing Cox from the jags which I really like, but like I said there are options. I just think hartline is a good chemistry builder for tannehill which is why I believe they deemed him as a must-sign.

Hartline . . . $7 million a year? Nice chunk of change for a guy with 3 TD's total the last 3 years and taking away that one big game against Arizona last year had 830 yards receiving and 0 TD's in the other 15 games as the #1 WR.

well someone reported that he wants the same thing as Laurent Robinson's deal, who i believe Hartline is more talented than. So, yeah, I believe at the end of the day Hartline will end up with 6-7 mil/yr, regardless if he ends up in Miami or not. And I know we're going to try whatever possible to get him. Granted we do know that Ireland is dirt cheap...

Personally I don't think the Dolphins have identified Hartline as "must re-sign." I think they have identified him as "must determine exactly how much he will cost so we can compare to Jennings."

I don't think you left enough money to sign the rookies, less than $2 million won't do it.

Hartline at 7 mil per or Jennings at 8. I'll take Jennings or even Wallace for a couple mil extra
