Well it smashes the salary cap but leaving that aside I don't understand why people want to pay old men big money. If we lacked a final piece to win the Superbowl this year by all means sign the likes of Reed, if not then develop a young player and dont just waste money on a stop gao that will need to be replaced by the time we can win something.

3 players past their primes but not past expecting big money. I'm not a fan. Bring in Wallace, re-sign Bush and Hartline, draft Allen and Eifert or Ertz. That's alot of new weapons on offense. I'm for bringing back Long so the o-line doesn't take a big hit. Draft a new o-lineman or two and let them battle it out in camp. On d let's keep Smith and Starks if we can. Bring in some cornerback help and draft a passrushing DE to play in rotation opposite Wake. Let's keep as many of our good players as we can. We need to add pieces not decimate our core. Picture Bush and Bess in the slot with Miller in the backfield, Wallace/Jennings, Allen and Hartline split out with Eifert/Ertz as the seambuster. Hard to defend? You better believe it!
