rotoworld: Richard Marshall back is healed. Could play in a game today

Dolphins CB Richard Marshall says his surgically repaired back has healed enough that he could play in a game today.
The Fins may hold Marshall out of early-offseason workouts as a precaution, but it sounds like he's pretty close to 100 percent. Marshall is currently the top corner on Miami's roster signed for 2013, as Sean Smith is a free agent. Expect Marshall to open the season as a starter barring something unforeseen. Feb 15 - 4:03 PM

he is not medicore. Marshall was playing out of position he is NOT a boundary corner. He was forced into that role when we traded Vontae and he struggled yes but he was starting to slowly play better, had that int against the jets. Marshall needs to be in the slot or playing free safety. Look at his career numbers he is a good tackler and usually has a nose for the ball. If used right he will be an asset. Sign somebody like cox out of jax, draft jonathan banks, and then use marhsall in the slot.

mediocre boundary corner? yes he is. mediocre defensive hybrid back that can be used in the slot and free safety? he is above average and much better in the slot than jimmy wilson or carroll

Lets say we let smith walk and then sign somebody like derek cox and draft xavier rhodes in the early second round. Then we have rhodes and cox playing the boundary and marshall holding down the nickel. I would much rather have marshall playing the nickel than wilson or carroll, all day bro. He has 18 career int's, he finds the ball.

dude played with a bad back and out of position last year why doesnt anybody cut him some slack? Jared odrick plays out of position and sucks but everybody on here thinks he's the second coming of richard seymour or something and defend him tooth and nail. Give marshall another chance.

Bad backs never fully heal. The dolphins need corner-backs just as bad as they need receivers. I just hope the dolphins can find one better than they had with Vontae. I know many were happy with that trade i was not even though i can see why the dolphins did it. Tons of talent talent though lacked work ethic. You know the dolphins will need to draft maybe 2 corners 1 left tackle at least one receiver.
