However, after doing some study on Allen, man Im starting to debate that in my head enough to backtrack and at least say they are 1A and 1B. The one area that I think puts Allen ahead of Bailey is how he can go over the middle with the same skill. He is just so fluid and understands how to use his own body to give himself the edge over the defender when the ball is in play. Youre right about how smooth he is on breaks with his hips. I dont see a flaw in the kids game. Like Bailey he is a huge win in the redzone. They both have excellent ball skills when its in the air. Both use the boundries like a king. Both of them are great route runners. Both have great hands. Bailey is extremely physical and is underrated in that area because of his size. Again, I think Allen is better over the middle. But, Id give Bailey a slight edge in open field running as far as making people miss.

Speed at WR is so overrated IMHO. Sure, its important. But, it isnt nearly as important as route running and hands. The WR is the one making breaks and the defender is the one who has to react and try to catch up if he gets beat or a guy makes a catch on him. As long as a WR is not slow, his speed is fine. There are only so many times where the lack of 4.3 or 4.4 speed is going to keep a guy from turning a big play into 6 pts. It is nice to have a guy who can run a 4.3 and blow past everyone for a deep ball, but they need WR skills to go with it. Guys who run a 4.5 can still beat you deep. Heck Bailey didnt have a great 40 time but he will still beat people for a deep ball because he is capable of running so many great routes. How quick a guy gets in and out of breaks is more important than top speed.
baileys probably got better feet...but they both have damn good ones...baileys feet separate him and help him get off coverage despite being somewhat undersized on the boundary...he's got deceptive speed also...

totally agree on allens ability to play the ball and the man and use his body to get the separation he needs down the middle...this kids really underrated...if his qb was worth a damn we'd all be talking about how much we'd like him to get to our pick...big body guy with the movements skills of a guy 2 inches smaller...and polished...day 1 ready

I like to see you have Shamarko Thomas in the second round. My favorite in the draft. I'd love to see him in a Dolphins uniform.,

Earlier you indicated there was some issues that those close to the Cal program were aware of with Keenan Allen. Anything you can elaborate on?

What pushed Benavides to UDFA status on your board? Injury concerns, strength concerns? Both?

Also, why do you see Larry Warford as a 6th round prospect? Alot of others have him in the low 1st to 2nd round range. That's a pretty big discrepancy. I don't have a feeling about him one way or the other, I was just wondering why you have him lower than alot of other scout-types.
    Insert pithy saying here.

All of those you mentioned apply to Benavides, combined with being significantly undersized with small hands and small arms. However, I feel like I may be higher on him for some reason than even the league. I was forced to watch him try to compete in some by the wayside all-star game... they felt he wasn't worth a Senior Bowl or Combine invite. I feel like I'm throwing him a bone by listing him here.

Warford is only a scheme fit for a straight up man blocking scheme that likes to run 'power' (pulling a guard into the hole). He's slow footed and has a load of issues in pass protection. As an athlete, he's borderline D-1 material, his combine performance was among the worst for offensive lineman. I watched him get blown up by a safety (Nickoe Whitley) and crumple to the ground like sack of potatos. He's a good kid though, I got a chance to stop by and listen to him interview at SEC media days about a year ago. Intelligent kid.
