Most of his catches are because tannehill stuck it in his chest.

I don't see where he's such a hard commodity to replace that we need to pay him 6 mill. It not like he gets open consistently and makes ryans job easy. On most of his catches, there's a db draped all over him.

Whats with these bogus arguments against Hartline? The guy is a very good receiver and apparently some of you need to see him excelling on another team to realize that. Well I don't, sign him up to a deal that won't hinder anything the team wants to do this year.

Why? He was one of the top safeties in the league last year. If he has the same numbers or better yet improves then Irish should be tarred and feathered if he lets him walk.

Lol you have to pay to compete...he was our #1 with 1000 yards on a leaky offense. He is a #2 and will get paid like one,I don't understand you all sometimes

Why would we wait and pay market value when we can extend him now at a pretty nice discount? Thats the scenario that played out with Hartline, we could have extended him this time last year for $3.5-4 mill, probably at fewer years and much less guaranteed money, by waiting we just cost ourselves a bunch of money. Resigning, restructuring and extending the right guys in my mind is just as important as who you draft and which free agents you sign and Ireland has done pretty much nothing in this regard.

Just pay him now and get it over with or I guarantee we're going to see similar threads like this popping up this time next year about Jones: "He's good but is he really $11 mill a year good?"

It's interesting that these "bogus arguments" are rooted in watching Hartline play and the details of what he does well vs. his shortcomings; while the other side seems to be rooted in, "Nu uh, I think he's good!"
