Player Jared Cook to Break the the Bank - $7M or more annually

So it looks like Jared Cook is a very hot commodity this year and has lots of suitors.

    Per Ben Volin on twitter:

Atleast $7m per year. Lots of suitors RT @MoveTheSticks: Hottest name I keep hearing is TE Jared Cook. He's going to break the bank

Edited: For comparison Sake here are some numbers -

*Tony G averaged about $7M per year in ATL the last 2 years.
*Gronk averages about $7M a year with his extension
*Jason Witten will make $7.2M next year
*Vernon Davis will make $7.1M next year

Basically $7M is what the top TE make. I dont think Cook is worth that much, but in FA you must overpay. Id personally rather draft Tyler Eifert.

Hopefully the latest report from Schefter regarding the Vikings not going hard after Wallace is true. If we can sign Wallace for 12, give 7 to Cook. We need playmakers.

I would give Cook 7, but then again I have no idea what the going rate for a top tier tight end is.

I'd rather draft a tight end. I love Jared Cook, but that's a bit high.

I'd rather sign Fred Davis for cheap. The reward totally overpowers the risk, IMO.

    I think Cook is overrated.

    - my 2 cents (take it for what it's worth)

I think that number is silly and highly unlikely, unless the Dolphins are paying.
