Twinkies are coming back!

2 investment firms are bringing the brand back.
Twinkies could be back on supermarket shelves by this summer, now that firms Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management, which acquired the snack cake for $410 million, have announced plans to start production back up.
Last year, Twinkies’ parent company Hostess filed for bankruptcy and announced it would sell off some of its brands individually, the Associated Press said. The Metropoulos bid was the only qualified bid for the line, according to documents filed in bankruptcy court.
Hostess last made the cakes in November, the AP said. The bid by the two companies also includes popular cake brands Ding Dongs and Ho Hos.
