I'm done with Ireland. This is the last straw. 6 million a year is beyond reasonable for Sean Smith.
    I hope this was sarcasm...

Dude come on, we could bring in a rookie get similar results possibly and probably better and pay a lot less. Smith is so overrated on here it's not even funny. Same with Long. I would rather get a guy who wants to prove his damn worth instead of rewarding a slacker.

7 pages of responses to a post like this is why the best board on the web is littered with nonsense.

I'd pay him that contract if he made a single play in regular season like he did in his rookie preseason against New Orleans. He hasn't. He isn't quick. He's a difficult matchup against tall receivers, but we don't play Randy Moss anymore. And Vontae was always more successful against the big receivers anyway. Sean just simply wasn't that good. I loved his potential, but Coyle utilizes fast, aggressive CBs. He just didn't fit the plan. We'll improve with a few rookie CBs and probably another veteran, most likely Captain Munnerlyn

    ^^^THIS^^^

Long is a joke too. I couldn't agree more. Ends the past two seasons on IR, we paid his enormous rookie contract, he's gotten worse every season. I really want Joekel...wish that was a possibility
