Even without Donovan Florida is a better job than UCLA. You take two top coaches and offer them UCLA or Florida jobs and I'd think they'd take the Florida job. And that's painful for me to say.

Florida was nothing before Donovan, they had one blip of a run in 1994 and that was it. UCLA while not up w/ the UNC's, UK's, duke's in modern CBB they are still a top program.

Yikes dude. Seriously? It wouldn't even be close. A coach would jump all over the UCLA job in a heart beat. UCLA is the preimier program in the PAC-12 and has as rich a history as any other program in the country. Legendary even. It's easy to recruit there. A coach can stalk the sidelines for the same team where John Wooden coached. They'll be paid handsomely to do it too.

Florida won back to back national titles and they STILL can't sell out their arena for home games. They will always play second fiddle to UK in their conference and second fiddle to their football program on their own campus.

Love ya JCane, but it's nonsense to think that a coach would pick Florida over UCLA.
    Insert pithy saying here.

Right now today, Florida is a better job. Forget about "what once was" and look at the now. If Billy Donovan walked, and the UCLA job was open, Florida would get a better coach than UCLA. Who did UCLA settle for again?

you can say that all you want, it doesn't make it true. who are the big names out there UF would get? If Donovan left tomorrow I bet Anthony Grant would be hired. The guy you are trying to get pushed out for Gregg Marshall. if Donovan followed through when he agreed w/ orlando Grant would have been hired then.

You're going thru all of these crazy scrnarios of this and that.

I'm talking right now. Both jobs are open. Who gets a better coach?

    Florida does.

Obvious goaltending is obvious. Michigan should have an extra 2 points right now.
but when the trumpets blew again and the knights charged, the name they cried was "Stannis! Stannis! STANNIS!"
