Kill us slowly with GMOs, pump the water supply with fluoride but hey, he took a pay cut. Sounds like a great guy to me.

When he and the rest of the politicians give up the full pay for life Pension they get it might actually make a dent.

    What joke.

My Brother in Law works for a congressman in Oregon. He works with a lot of polititans.
He knows of a persons who won a House of Rep job in North Dakota several years back.
He served his term with a fairly low paying salary ~50K
After term is completed he get one of his politician friends to give him a job leading sub committee
The pay for this gig is ~150K. He does this for a couple years and then retires.
He now draws 150K for the rest of his life for serving 5 years. This is how our political system works.

There are currently over 20,000 former politians that are drawing large pensions for life.

The elimination of them would save the Fed government over $20 Billion per year.

Being a politician was never meant to make you rich and set for life. It was supposed to be for successful people who already had jobs and wanted to better the country.

Somewhere this has all gone out the door.

As far as Obama's give back it is a small fraction of all the money he is spending on his constant vacations/ golf trips/ etc that we are all paying for.

I see. So if POTUS makes around 500,000 annually, he'll lett loose 50 large. While living for free in basically every facet of his life. Oh yeah and any outside pocket lining he gets done. Lol! Whatever dude just keep the money, cause this gesture isn't fooling anyone.
