I still think they attempt to trade up. However, Vaccaro's ability to run with TE's and help in the nickel situations is as good as drafting a corner in terms of helping on Sunday's.

If they hang in at 12 I think the pick is coming down to Eifert, Vaccaro and Trufant. I cannot help but think they will feel DT is important with both starters at 30 and approaching walk years. DT is one of the hardest positions for development. Just my prediction a few weeks out.

The value for a guy like Vaccaro is going up. Can play deep or in the slot, is not a liability against the run, can cover WRs or TEs. This versatility is what teams want nowadays for these sub packages, particularly Big Nickel. He can play deep on 1st downs and then move down to the slot or on a TE in passing situations with 3 safeties on the field.

A stout safety with some corner cover skills can be really valuable, imo. This is how the Giants beat the Patriots (and many other teams) in 2011: Vaccaro would be Antrel Rolle (I think Rolle is his best NFL comparison). Rolle was arguably the most important player on that defense; because of injuries he played safety, slot, boundary, even some LB-type roles, and could stay with Hernandez/Gronk and get physical with Welker. Vaccaro gives you that versatility. He's not my first choice at 12, but I'd be down with it.

Vaccaro is close to worst-case scenario for me.

If I were Dallas and interested in a safety, I'd take Eric Reid at #18.
