I literally just got back from seeing Pacific Rim. You haven't lived until you've seen a giant robot drag a ocean cargo ship down a downtown Hong Kong street and bash a giant monster in the head. Repeatedly. The characters in the movie are your run of the mill stock characters for this type of movie and Charlie Day's character got to be grating at times but all of that is forgiven because of the awesomeness that Jaeger vs Kajiu (and Ron Pearlman of course). I'll go ahead and say it was a better overall movie than Man of Steel.
gotta disagree with you man. pacific rim was good, but not as good as mos. The reason I say it is bc i felt like ive seen pacific rim before. its not original imo. the action was still good don't get me wrong. mos was far from perfect to tho

And after having a lot of time to think about it myself, Man of Steel isn't as good as I originally toted. It is as good as Pacific Rim. Both of which I will buy once they hit DVD/Blu-Ray.

Wow. I think Pacific Rim is the most original movie put out by Hollyweird since the Matrix. Is it as good as the Matrix was, I don't think so but as far as originality goes. Nothing like it has come out in quite some time.
    Insert pithy saying here.
