    Draft Saturday 3 Round Mock

I'm trying my best to understand what Ireland is going to do, but I continue to fail. I'm honestly contemplating on trading up, not for one of the OTs, but because that's where the most for-sure talent is. I'll stick what we have for now.

    1. Jarvis Jones DE/OLB- There is always an emphasis for BPA/need. Jones is still the best defensive player in this draft despite the injury and it shows; 155 tackles, 44 TFLs, and 28 sacks since 2011 playing in the SEC. We also have the same birthday The only problems would be where he would fit in Coyle's scheme and Buffalo/NY/Arizona picking him before us.

2a. Jonathan Cyprien S- Ireland continues to build a local talent connection and drafts a FS to play opposite of Jones.

2b. Kyle Long OT/OG- Find another Long without having to spend a 1st. Versatile tackle but will most likely play LG while Incognito moves to RG.

3a. Travis Kelce TE- I'm not giving up on Egnew yet but I do want insurance just in case he doesn't pan out. Kelce is my #2 TE and is the best blocking TE in the draft.

3b. Leon McFadden CB- If you know me you'll know that McFadden is almost always on one of my mocks. Technically sound CB that may not be the fastest but can play with the best of em'. Sandcastle without the fro and the 4.2.

I like it. I'd probably take the best corner available over Cyprien at 44 but besides that I absolutely love Jarvis Jones, Kyle Long and Kelce.

I was going to take the best corner available but I'm doing this sort of from Ireland's comments at the presser.

"I think corners can be selected and have an active round just about anywhere in the draft," Ireland. "You can find them in 5th, 6th round."

I agree that it's a deep CB class, but after the first 10 there is a drop off.

It's an ok draft but I would draft more for needs. Here's my 7 round draft with no trades! R1 OG Jonathan Cooper R2a DE Margus Hunt Rb2 OT Terron Armstead R3a CB darius Slay R3b TE Travis Kelce R4 LB Kiko Alonso R5a RB Marcus Lattimore R5b DT Josh Boyd R7a FS Daimion Stafford R7b K Dustin Hopkins R7c WR Brice Butler. The only two pick that are questions in my mock are Josh Boyd and Brice Butler.

A blocking TE in the 3rd? No WR in the first three rounds?

Kelce is a guy who I'm not sold on. He's solid, a good blocker, and adequate receiver. That "highlight" reel was all standard plays, nothing outside the norm for any TE capable of starting for a mid level team like Cinn. Notice how a couple highlights were repeated later in the reel? I think he is probably the highest floor/lowest ceiling TE in the draft. He'll always block.

I'd rather take a guy like Escobar who is more refined in the passing game, or Fauria who simply produced all season and will be available much cheaper.

not sold on Kelce either would rather take Eifert in the first a sure weapon for RT rather than risk another 3rd round pick on a player that may be decent

Kelce is much more than a blocking TE.

Personally I wouldn't touch Eifert until the second round. He's no a Seam-Threat TE and Isn't the greatest blocker. Also Finomenal why would you want a WR drafted early when we have other needs? My draft would fill all the holes for the dolphins. Do you watch College football?!? Try to analyze my draft and you'll be amazed with most of the picks! I have a one of the best guards for our zone blocking offense with the first pick in Jonathan Cooper. Are second round pick with Margus Hunt at DE you have JJ Watts Jr. with a higher ceiling. Then the later second we have a once in a lifetime Tackle in Terron Armstead who also fit are zone blocking scheme! Next you have both our 3rd rounders and we can great value in a CB Darius Slay who can play in any scheme on defense! Next we get a TE who has NFL bloodlines in Travis Kelce. In the Fourth round we get get depth in LB Kiko Alonso who could play inside or outside linebacker. The fifth round pick with Marcus Lattimore is my favorite pick because this guy is all heart and when healthy is a beast! The later fifth round pick is a project in DT Josh Boyd who is a great run stopper but needs better technique. Last we have three picks in the seventh round. The first seventh we pick FS Daimion Stafford who was the hear and soul for Nebraska's defense. The second seventh we draft a kicker who has a big leg in Dustin Hopkins. Our last pick we get a long strider WR in Brice Butler who would be a great red zone target with his nice super glue hands and height!

We're not just looking for a blocking TE, we also have to look for insurance just IN CASE
    a. Egnew doesn't pan out.
    b. Keller gets injured again

It also gives us a heads up in development. There are plenty of other talented receivers outside of the 3rd.
