Explosion hits fertilizer plant north of Waco, Texas

(CNN) -- An explosion ripped through a fertilizer plant Wednesday night in the area of West, Texas, sending a massive fireball into the sky and causing dozens of injuries, officials said.

A number of nearby residents were being evacuated because of the possibility of another explosion, officials said.

A hospital in nearby Waco, Texas, has been told to anticipate 100 injured people coming in from the fertilizer plant area, an official at the medical facility said.
And here we go. First Boston, then the ricin, now Waco. And it JUST SO HAPPENS that it's in Waco. I'm watching CNN right now and D.L. WIlson with the Department of Public Safety. Of course he wasted no time saying it reminds him of Oklahoma City. Of course it does D.J.

EDIT: Sorry mods I made a mistake. Please change the title from the URL to the title in the article. Thanks.

Updated: Texas Fertilizer Plant Blast injures dozens

WEST, Texas A massive explosion at a fertilizer plant near Waco on Wednesday night injured dozens of people and killed an unknown number of others. The blast sent flames shooting into the night sky, leaving the factory a smoldering ruin and leveling buildings for blocks in every direction.
Muska, who is also a volunteer firefighter, said the town's department went to the plant to fight a fire about 6:30 p.m., and the blast that followed knocked off his fire helmet and blew out the doors and windows of his home nearby. He said main fire was under control as of 11 p.m., but residents were urged to remain indoors because of the threat of new explosions or leaks of ammonia from the plant's ruins.
