That's what fans on a message board do.......at least most of us try to spin anything into a positive.

yeah, Milliner and a pass rusher is a pretty good bet.

What are the other picks beside the 1st in 2013?

I think if Eifert gets to #12 and we want him, we are going to be forced to take him here. Even if the Jets don't want him, they will make it seem like they do so that we are forced to take him and not trade back.

Have we even met with or shown interest in Eifert? If we have my apologies I just missed it..but he wasn't on the lists I've seen floating around

For Me........It'd be a HUGE mistake to not keep the #12,and use it on Eifert(if there). Yes,I know we need CB/DE....but the need for "POINTS" is painfully obvious. Our Defense isn't horrible by any means, and with the defensive depth in this draft....we can address those needs in 2nd/3rd. I just think TE talent like Eifert,is a RARE find.

Eifert or any TE is or should be a priority for the fins, 12 is too high when they have Keller, CB, DE LT might be the Priority.

IMO, I don't see Tyler Eifert falling past the Jets at 13. One of the Jets most glaring holes on their roster is the tight end position. The Jets need somebody that can get up the seam for whoever starts at QB to have any chance of success this upcoming season. There has been a lot of Gronk / Eifert comparisons going around lately and with every passing day, It seems Eifert is separating himself from the pack. The other FACT that not many people talk about is how Eifert NEVER had a good QB or passing game at ND. Could you imagine Eifert with an NFL QB?

If Ireland trades 2b for Albert this will only increase are chances of drafting Eifert.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in...

    RIP Michael Egnew
I agree with you 1000%, especially since they know they need a safety blanket for Sanchez or whomever they draft. I also think the league knows the Dolphins are targeting Eifert..so i could see the Jets drafting Eifert at 9 and then maybe Cooper or Vaccaro at 13. Eifert is going to be the quarterbacks best friend for whatever team he goes to.

They have so many holes a rookie TE won't begin to fill them. It'll give Sanchez a check down comfort blanket and we see where that got them last year.

The real detriment to that trade is we lose more power to trade down. With the Jets surrounding us in picks they are easier trade partners if teams want to move up. You also better bet they will want to trade down one of those firsts so they can draft more cheap young players that in they mind will grow into solid starters.
I'd be surprised if he makes it past 15, and more and more i think he won't make it past the top 10. Anyone who saw him play at ND knows the impact he has on an offense, and all the damage he did, he did it with the opposing defense KNOWING he was ND's only threat offensively.
