Trade Path to the draft guys on Branden Albert trade

On Fridays Path to the Draft, they talked about the potential trade of Branden Albert to Dolphins for pick 54. Daniel Jeremiah said the Dolphins can't get a player that's the caliber of Branden Albert with the 54th pick. Charlie Casserley said Branden Albert will fit better in the Miami offense because it's a zone running scheme and he's an athletic tackle not necessarily a power player. He thinks fair value is pick 42 not 54 but when you have 1 team talking to you than you take what you can get. It makes me feel a lot better about this trade. Plus we get to keep pick 12.

This trade is not happening unless he agree's to a contract to Dawn Aponte's liking. Not salary cap friendly.

I agree but I don't think Albert will get crazy money. He'll get what market value is. Plus no state income tax and I believe he lives in Miami so I think it'll get done.

He's already guaranteed to get $9 mill to stay in KC so he'll get what he thinks he's worth. Don't forget the market was ripe with tackles this year, not sure what the tackle market will be like next year but I'm sure Albert does.

If he takes $7.5mm a year I'd be happy with the deal for 54. That would be my target anyway.

No, I think his contract will just be too much.

Albert wants 8-9 million/year- forget him and make KC deal with it.

Sign Winston and trade up to get Milliner(if possible).

In his office Friday afternoon, Philbin pointed to the practice fields outside and said: "Out there is where we're going to find out about Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore and David Garrard. I don't remember a master plan that said, 'Here's when Ryan's going to play.' If there is one, I was never told about it. We'll let them come to work, and the best man will win."'

Negotiating with Dawn Aponte is like trying to split the check with a new hot piece of tail. good luck.

    Trade WHY pick 54?

Again, WHY pick 54? No other team is talking with KC about Albert or offering ANYTHING for him. Why not Pick #82? If KC drafts Joeckel #1 & are stuck with Albert, the price SHOULD be less than a 2nd round pick. I bet they would gladly take Pick #82 for Albert or THEY risk getting a LOT less or maybe NOTHING, AND have the headache of a Guy on the team that REFUSES to move to RT. Then what...KC should just take #82, be happy they got something decent & move on. The Dolphins IMHO DO NOT have to give up pick # 54 for Albert.
