If we do trade our 54th for Albert, then I believe that Eiffert may well be the pick at 12. Look for a Safety or CB with the next pic. Poyner, Reid, Hayden, Cyprien would be nice in the 2nd round if they are available. I dont believe the comments from ireland about not valueing a TE. We get burned by every decent TE in the league game after game. Surely he noticed that.

Rosenhaus makes these predictions at this time every year, and every year he's wrong. I am convinced he is doing the FO a favor by misleading people.

Personally, I do not think it is a guard, but I think he is on to something.

Doubtful that Cooper is there at #12. San Diego is a lock to take him or Warmack or Johnson if he falls that far.
The hot name out there is Hayden. He has become a 1st rounder moving up the draft board.
Maybe they can move back to STL #16 spot and pick up an extra pick or a higher spot in round 2 or 3.
    Secondary is still a concern.

Would folks be "rightly" pissed if we did something like this

    Trade for Albert
Acquire say Cooper with the 12 pick

Which would give us a line that looks like this
Fat Albert, Cog, Pouncy, Cooper, Martin

We should take best OL or Eifert at 12. OL is a huge need and Eifert is top talent. I dont see how this prediction is far off at all. Eifert will be Tanne's best friend in the redzone, as a possession reciever, a seam threat, when the pocket collapses, and as a decent blocker with our spotty line. Not sure why people dont think he would be an awesome pick at 12. Keller is a one yr stop gap, hence the 1 yr contract. Clay is versatile and decent, and Egnew is Egnew.

Agree 100% with this, even though personally I really like Eifert, dont know if Ireland values the position enough to draft one that high.

I'm not convinced Ireland values the tight end position enough to take one at #12. Warmack isn't a great scheme fit, if we were going to take a guard (definitely possible, I think) then I'd expect it would be Jon Cooper.

Doesn't matter who we select in this draft, ESPN and others will say we graded out as a solid D-
