I'm curious if the "Jets" have any smarts(As i think they NOW do with the Revis trade) why not entertain teams such as the 49ers for more picks?

Mia traded the 12th pick for the 28th and a 2nd so getting al tha seems unreal and look odrick is average as is Misi while others became elite like JPP

I'd do that in a heartbeat. We could get a starting TE, CB, and G for the #12 pick in a draft that is weak at the top. That would give us 7 picks in the top 82, fantastic cap flexibility for the next 4 years, Philbin would continue to have one of the youngest teams in the league, and be a huge step towards fully converting this team from a power running and 34 defense to a ZBS passing and 43 defense team.

Unless Lane Johnson falls to 12, which is highly unlikely, I can't see how Ireland could pass that up. We could package a 2nd and a 3rd to get back into the late 1st and draft Eifert if we wanted possibly.
"I want guys who want to make an impact on and off the field. Good human beings. Guys who want to get better. Guys who want to improve. They want to be great, want to win. Those types of guys we can work with every day." --Joe Philbin

Jets would be a good trade partner for them.

I'm not for this. I want Eifert. We need a high impact player this draft. I'm sick of getting fill ins. Just keep the pick and get eifert

Stay at 12 and pick Eifort. He won't be available at 31.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat, as we make a killing for moving down to the end of the first for all that. That will never happen though. We'd get their 2nd and maybe another mid to late round or 3rd next year, but nothing more than that. And with the number of picks we already have, I'm not so sure that's in our best interest versus getting starter material with the picks we already have. While getting more picks is always great, you sometimes miss out on that elite level of talent to get another one or two OK level of talent later in the draft.

anyone see us trading down on draft day?
In his office Friday afternoon, Philbin pointed to the practice fields outside and said: "Out there is where we're going to find out about Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore and David Garrard. I don't remember a master plan that said, 'Here's when Ryan's going to play.' If there is one, I was never told about it. We'll let them come to work, and the best man will win."'

For the 49ers to trade up to the Fins pick at #12 according to the Trade Value Chart would be Round 1 (#31), Round 2 (#34) and Round 4 (#128). Not as outrageous as originally posted.
