What deals could we have reworked exactly? Dansby and Burnett come to mind, but thats about it. Everyone else was playing on rookie deals or deals that werent even worth redoing(how much money would we have squeezed out of Soliai's 2 year deal?).

Still havent see how we are immune to a salary cap crunch in the future. Throwing $8.5 million to an tackle coming off an injury doesnt exactly inspire confidence for our future salary cap considerations.

That still doesn't explain how we have all the leverage as originally stated. And just how far do you think that top tackle with fall...it sure as hell wouldn't fall to 12...

KC is trying to have their cake and eat it too...

@BenVolinPBP RT @mortreport Branden Albert contract demands turned off Dolphins, which is why little or no communication for almost 2 weeks. Who blinks?

I don't think the Dolphins have all the leverage either, but they can walk away any time. KC is then faced with the prospect of spending almost 20% of their cap on their tackles. the Chiefs are in a tough spot if they really want Fisher or Joeckel and the Dolphins can benefit from that.
if the Chiefs go for another position at #1, then one of the tackles will fall. He won't make it to 12, but he would slide to within striking distance for the Dolphins. I am no way in favor of this scenario, I'm just saying Miami has options at tackle other than trading for Albert

Ryan Tannehill. Ah, what a relief. Life is good.

Something about how that never works and you can get by with a adequate player at that position and how they dont want to repeat the mistakes of another team....
... that "other team" just happens to be the Miami Dolphins.

"I'm told the Dolphins do not have a problem with that," Rapoport said of Albert's price tag. "I know some people are saying different. I'm told they don't have a problem with it." Per Rapoport, Albert wants "Duane Brown money" -- not Jake Long money. Brown signed a six-year, $53.4 million extension last August, with $22.08 million guaranteed. It sounds like the Chiefs will send Albert to the Dolphins if the sides agree to trade terms. Miami has two second-rounders, but would prefer to part with No. 54 rather than 42.
Don't do this...I think we should trade back with the 49ers and draft Watson. Thats a huge saving a key position, and I think Watson is going to be an outstanding player. He can play RT or LT. Sign Tyson Clabo as insurance for both tackle spots.
