Mort report is BS, IMO. Like most of his stuff usually is.

Zach Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn't going to join them.

Irelands waiting to see if one of the top 3 fall. I dont think he trusts any of the guys expected to go in round 2 especially after our 2nd rounder last year didnt go.so swell. So, id expect it to be done on thursday after the 1st round is over.

This is good. Its not every year a proven pass protector becomes available for a low 2nd in a year we have an extra 2nd. Thanks for drafting a position #1 overall that youre already set at Andy!

New Kansas City GM, John Dorsey, wants to show all the KC fans and all 31 GMs of other teams that he can be a tough negotiator who doesn't back down. Ireland/Aponte are taking their time. Ultimately, if KC wants an OT like Fisher or Joeckel and has $9M committed to franchise Albert, then he has to negotiate. I hope that we only offered a 3rd round pick.

Question: do you think the trade could be contingent on the contract details?

For example, if were gonna shell out 9mill a year, then we trade our 3a pick.
If he agrees to say 7mill, it'd be our 2b?

Personally i think trading a 2 and meeting his 9mill demand is ludicrous!

    Thoughts..?

Dealing with the team on one and the player/agent on another so doubt it.

    Ideal scenario:

Trade back with Dallas for an extra 2nd. Trade our 3A for Albert.

    1 DE Carredine
    2 CB Taylor
    2 OG/OT Pugh
    2 RB Bernard
    3 OT Albert
    3 WR Bailey
4-7: FS, LB, DT, K, OL depth

    Forgot TE in there.

Damn we have a lot of holes and depth needed to fill!

Love it. Clayton has been all over this from the start. If it is 2b, great deal. If it is 2a, grind my teeth some, but forget about by Saturday morning.

Get an outstanding pass blocker and let the offseason pick ups do their thing.

By the way, those that think it is crazy to give him "Jake Long money", you got shake yourself. If Albert was on the open market this offseason he would have got the same if not more than Long. The market is what it is.
