The bottom line is signing Albert before KC picks is stupid. Miami has all the negotiating leverage after.
And if someone else gets him then it removes a competitor from the OT race.
We have a backup plan it is Martin at LT

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Dolphins have had "little or no communication" with the Chiefs regarding Branden Albert for "almost two weeks."
It's a good old fashion standoff. Who'll blink first? Come on Jeff, stare them down.
Next to Marino's fake spike touchdown to Ingram, the hook-and-ladder play comes in second. What a beauty.
so many smokescreens....
somewhere Enduro is celebrating....
We'll know for sure by Friday. This smells like a staredown.

KC OT Branden Albert? Contract demands turned off Dolphins, which is why little or no communication for almost 2 weeks. Who blinks?
**** KC and their demands for our 42nd. That pop warner team has no leverage in this, they are screwed if they go into the season with $9m tied into Albert and a rookie LT picked 1st overall. 3rd rounder or nothing, this trade has NO logic after letting Long go. We would be paying him the same dollar amount as we would Long, but topping it off with losing a 2nd round pick as well. Makes no ****ing sense. As much as you Albert lovers sugar coat this, it's exactly what I stated above.
A wise man once told me: "Sometimes when you close your eyes, you can't see."
Looks like someone is full of it. Hopefully this is true and the other report that we were willing to pay him big $$ is BS. I would like to pick him but but for a reasonable price. I would rather pick him up then trade up to get a OT.
thought this would be top story on the forum today lol
