unless they are trying to recoup the 2nd rounder in trade that they are parting with for albert this is a dumb idea...very dumb...got 5 picks in the first 82 and they choose quantity over quality...dumb...gonna mess around and end up getting trumped...

Draft is deep they can't get the tackles or milliner and probably don't want Austin

This is awesome news - not because I actually want us to trade down; it's awesome because it means we're likely going away from OL with the 1st pick. I think they're going to have a problem finding value in a trade down, because there is the perception that the grouping is so close after those first 6 or 7 picks. If you're staying in the teens, where I think you can get a guy at 18 or 19 who will likely be as good or better than guys going Top 5. From what I've seen of projections, I think that's the case. The first significant drop I see is from 23 to 24. I have Hayden as my last CB in tier 1 and 23 overall. I have S. Williams (DT UNC) at 24, and he's my top player in my 2nd tier of DT's (Floyd, Lotulelei, Richardson are all very close - as I see it, and your preference would be largely dependent upon scheme and ability preferences). So, if you're Miami, you can draft anywhere in that zone and get a guy who isn't far behind the top guy at his position.. Of course, players get over-drafted, and no two boards are the same, so you can probably fall a little lower and still get one of the tier-1 guys.

love it... build up the young nucleus. we need depth big time. we are not "set" at any position. we have seen the best teams survive the grueling 16 week + playoff schedule because of superior depth.

also, draft is a lottery and i want as many tickets as possible.

smells more to me like covering all their bases...making sure they know their options...will be shocked if we trade down...again unless we are trying to get back the 2nd rounder we lose in a albert trade...then it makes more sense...

got 11 darn picks already...almost half of em probably won't even make the roster...

if we are legitimately after the players we are linked to, I can believe it. I can also see us getting more picks to make another move... just not Albert.

Rumored Vikings are also looking to move up for Tavon Austin.

    Swap firsts?

    #12 for #23 and #25?
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

vikes aren't giving you both those picks to get to #12... you may get one and a 2nd or something like that...but not both #1's...

Move up for a tackle then if the Albert deal cannot be finalized.

Take everything you read this week with a grain of salt. Whether it is the Dolphins moving up or down in the draft or the status of the Albert talks, there is a lot of misinformation floating around.
