Every single team in the NFL has made calls to trade up and down. The question is will any of these teams pull the trigger.

If Ireland does indeed trade down, that's saying a lot about his future on this team. I think Ireland still has to prove himself to keep his job, and this draft will help determine that. If Ireland is confident enough that he can trade down, maybe even pick up additional selections in 2014, that tells me he's been guaranteed another year.

However, i don't think that's the case, which is why i'd be absolutely shocked that he trades down. He needs elite talent to get this team over the hump. I don't see him trading up from 12, but I do see him trading up from 42.

their GM IS Rick Spielman though so while unlikely, I wouldn't rule it out. Rumors around the Vikings are that they are fairly desperate to get a top notch WR.

vikes need a lot of things...two of which they can get at #23 and #25...mike backer and defensive tackle...plus a wr...if i was him unless i was going up for austin i wouldn't budge...a slyvester williams at #23 and a mike like manti teo if that's his flavor and i heard he likes him will come right to him most likely...plus he'll have plenty of wr options if williams goes ahead of #23...
hoops scoops 2012 season ..."in 2014 ryan tannehill etches his name in stone amongst the games elite qbs"..."ryan tannehill and andrew luck will carry the afc for the next decade plus the way peyton manning and tom brady have this last decade plus"

    Swap firsts?

    #12 for #23 and #25?
That would be awsome!!! But we would also need to give them our 3rd A and our 4th.

The 12th spot is a good area for a team to trade up for.1 through 9 is not worth the loss of a draft pick vs whats up there.teams dont want to over trade but dont want to trade too low in the first and miss their player.I love the 12 spot now more than ever.We can get a 18-31 and a 2nd.I Like both Vikings 23 and 52 but would jump on 49ers 31 and 34 if Viks dont go for it..Let them both fight over our 12.

You are erroneously thinking there isnt quality to be had with the quantity...you are creating a false choice. This draft is extremely deep in the second/third round. Thats where the value is. We should try to get as many of those pics as possible.
