Arkam City had a great trailer before it came out and I thought the game was great so not sure of the point your making. I have worries too about this game but I am hoping for the best.
I was super tired when I posted that. I had to spend the weekend out in the sun at the ****ing wild wild west festival this weekend working security. So yeah, I was a bit loopy.

I never played Arkham Asylum, but I did buy Arkham City used at Gamestop about a year ago...and returned it 2 days later and got a full refund. People praise the fighting mechanics in that game but it was just too unrealistic for me, but the main thing was how ridiculously easy it was. I can't remember a game being less challenging than AC. It got boring for me real quick, and this is coming from someone who loved the Nolan series.

And if you are basing your like of Batman JUST on the Noian movies, then you sir are missing out on a GREAT universe of fiction.

I thought "ARKHAM CITY" was a phenomenal game ... admittingly, I'm a huge Batman nerd, but I think it was very well done how they incorporated a lot of the Batman Universe in that game. The "ARKHAM" game series has gotten (progressively) bigger and better with each game. There is a picture out there of the "ARKHAM ORIGINS" world map (its on the "BATMAN ARKHAM NEWS" Facebook Page) ... and its HUGE!!! Its twice the size of "ARKHAM CITY".
With Conroy and Hamill not doing the voices, it really doesn't bother me ... they wanted to go younger since this is a prequel, so I can understand their thought process. And to tell you the truth ... Troy Baker, who is voicing Joker in this, doesn't sound all that different to Hamill. He is Eerily similar. I think this game will be a blast.
Here is the (better) trailer for this game:
P.S. - I finally pre-ordered it over the weekend. Can't wait to play as DEATHSTROKE.
That has some potential.
