I think it's good to remember that ALL of these are in rounds 3 and on for a reason. They all have some potential weakness that put them here. Just because someone's pick is not selected it can be the basis for criticism. No one in these rounds is bulletproof. If we get 50% right I will be happy.
Im sorry but it is. There is no way we can all sit here and say this offense is set to takeoff just cuz we added wallace, gibson, and an injured keller. Remember we lost bush, fasano, and bess. So its almost a wash. And were relying in miller to be the truth and none of u can sit here and say u know he is. We currently only have 3 legit WR's in hartline, gibson, wallace. We passed on hunter, allen, dobson, patton, williams, bailey. Hawks get it they gave wilson even more weapons harvin, harper. Rams get it with quick, bailey, austin, cook. This offense has huge holes still. But im glad we added special teams depth in the 3rd and fourth rounds gees unreal ireland.
I feel your pain bro
Sims could be as good as any TE in this draft. Might not be enough for you, but at the same time that is a nice, nice pick.
I can't believe you can't see what this team is doing. They are drafting athletic, clean character guys!(minus sims) All the guys they have drafted are fast, smart guys who are clean character guys! You all complain but this team has a direction...they are getting faster and more explosive on both sides of the ball!!! Just because you don't recognize a name doesn't mean he was a reach. Case in point...SF killed it with Lattimore? I love Lattimore as a play and person but he is not even going to play this season. Not sure how that is a great pick? Most of you would have crucified Ireland if he drafted a guy who couldn't contribute this season but SF killed it? Give me a break!!!!
OK we get it....
Someone get this man a hanky and a hug.
Jenkins is really good, 3rd picks were terrible in my opinion.
Expectations were high this year, because of all the picks we had, and after the Jamar Taylor pick I thought Ireland was making inspired moves. Going into the 3rd, we unloaded Davonne Bess, and I thought we were about to grab one or two of the many receivers we have been tracking for the past few months. Then....
It is starting to feel like the 2011 draft to me now. It seems like we are trying to get one player per need, without taking advantage of opportunities to turn strengths into fear factors. Every player I want ends up going to the 49ers.
I hope one of these later picks turns out to be a difference-maker, or else this draft is going to turn into a bit of a let-down.
