Kovacs looks like a solid tackler...and the backup safety position (or even as a starter) is up for grabs...

So, you think Binns and Sinkfield will be better than Mathews?

I think Chad Bumphis could potentially make the roster. He was Mississippi State's leading receiver for pretty much all 4 years (2nd in 2011) and he is an electric return man. I think he could earn himself a special teams spot on the roster, possibly to replace Marlon Moore.

Now that Bess is gone, the position is open for a good slot...

Thanks for posting those. Cameron Marshall looks intriguing as someone who might challenge to make the roster.

When watching Dion Jordan I recommend watching full game cuts of him, and I would specifically recommend paying attention to his games pre-labrum tear (Fresno State, Arizona, Washington State, Washington, Arizona State). The games post-labrum tear (USC, Stanford, Oregon State, Kansas State) are not as good an indicator because his shoulder was weak and they adjusted how they were playing him to account for it.

Beyond the obvious big draft picks, these four guys really stood out to me as having potential after watching the vids (granted it's just youtube cuts):

    Jasper Collins
    Robert McCabe
    Keelan Johnson
    Terrell Sinkfield

Jasper Collins has a very good shot of making the 53. 4.47 in the 40, excellent route runner, natural hands catcher. He'd be a good slot receiver.

Keelan Johnson, from what I've seen, has good instincts, takes good angles and seems to be around the ball alot. His technique needs work, tackles too high and he drops a few INTs that are right in his hands (why he plays defense I'm sure) but fluid hips for a safety and can close. A year on the practice squad and I think he'll have a good shot at the 53 next year.

Terrell Sinkfield I'm not impressed with. If he runs 4.19 then every DB in that video runs 4.18 cause he not once took a pass the distance, seemed to always get tackled and for a guy with that kind of speed playing Div I-AA he should have been dominating. He's also not a natural pass catcher...reminded me a lot of Marlon Moore the way he caught the ball.
