I didn't think Dallas Thomas was all that quick with seeing his size. In that game he was moving around pretty well.

Looks like a pure Guard to me though. I'm surprised about his speed though. He could even be worked in as a right tackle somewhere in his future. Although his hands aren't all that good.

Miami took a pass at WR during the draft because they have their starting three and were targeting UFA small school talent.

Ireland also appears to be intent on adding coverage ability and solid depth to the LB corps, something that has been sorely missing

This defense has been solid for a couple years. Next year, it could get scary.

    A couple things...

Davis doesn't like to support the run. He's all over his guy in coverage though, rarely out of position. If he could learn to get in on run support he'd be terrific.
Sims blocks like a guard. Once he gets hands on you it's all over, and he peels back looking for more blocks. If his QB put the ball in better position he'd get more yac too.

Exactly what I thought. He was taking people out of plays almost every play. Great blocker.

Looking at Davis again I noticed his coverage skills a lot more since I wasn't thinking about the value as much lol. He can definitely cover his guy like a glove.

I'm going to post this again...

Ireland said tonight he's comfortable with what miami has at the position. The dolphins see upside in rishard matthews and armon binns, who will compete with the undrafted rookies and former practice squad members jeff fuller and brian tyms for the no. 4 and no. 5 receiver jobs. With miami using a lot of two tight-end sets, the fourth receiver could end up playing less than last year (16.6 percent of offensive snaps last season for the no. 4 receiver).

I would like to see Chris Burnette from ODU make it as a LE. I only ever saw him play against CAA teams mostly, but he is stout against the run. Has a little pass rush ability.
