It was reported that our plan for the 12th pick was Tavon Austin, or Eifert if he was gone. If true, that means we still had big plans for upgrading our receiver group.
I'll be happy to come on here and admit I was wrong if the young guys step up and make names of themselves, but how many years do you have to see these young guys come and go to realize that you need to pump the position with more talent until you have a respectable group? I don't care who in that organization believes the guys they have are good enough. Bring in adequate competition and make them prove it!
I may be in minority with this opinion, but I actually believe that Gibson is a better threat than Hartline.
If any teams #1 receiver goes down every team will have trouble!
Why do people bring that up? If we lose this guy? Take away hartlines 256 yard game and on and on! Why it's really dumb!
Anyways, we already brought in Bess' replacement who is bigger, faster, cheaper and can play the boundary as well. It's Gibson, the writing has been on the wall ever since we signed him. Plus the team is very high on receivers Mathews, Binns and Thigpen. The sky hasn't fell, we have upgraded WR, TE, DE, LB, CB with talent and speed. Can't fix everything in 1 offseason.
