For some reason was thinking about JFK, and if 1963 had the kind of instant pervasive and accessible social media of today, whether he'd still be alive because he was forced out of office one way or another.
My thinking: No way today his frequent infidelities which were mostly indiscrete (with the major media either oblivious or looking the other way considering it private/off limits) with a myriad of GOP bloggers, TMZ, RadarOnline, Perez Hilton, and other dirt-dishers, would be ignoring the stories. Unlikely he and Bobby don't get outed for sharing Marilyn Monroe... especially in that more naive, cloistered, morally-minded era.
If Clinton's WH BJs prompted a partisan-feeding frenzied impeachment attempt, imagine the outcry against JFK by his political enemies. Sure, fighting communist, the Cuban Missile Blockaid etc might have diverted attention in a call for unity, like how Bush benefited after 911, but still, good chance he wouldn't have made it to those nearly 3 years under the glare of public scrutiny.
