The best way for Jordan to be a Gronk stopper is by putting Brady on his ass.

Well he definately wasnt an Ertz stopper when he had a field day versus Oregon this year

Jordan also played that game with a torn rotator cuff.

wasnt really my point. my point was your limted in what you can do as far as having one man responsible for a te esp on ouside backer or possibly a dlinemen,
He very rarely if at all was on Ertz. One thing if you watch the stanford game he has some really bad insticts at times and takes bad angles to tackles. You will see alot of him getting stood up at line of scrimmage.

Seriously though, Dion Jordan brings so much to this defense. I bet they will will use him all over the place. Dropping into coverage, blitzing behind DT's, from the edge, OLB, hybrid 3-4's 5-2's, heck this is Kevin Coyles chance to really scheme for every offense he comes up against. We are gonna be lethal - book it Infantryman!

I dont think we have the balls to put him in coverage on passing downs. I mean in actuality he is a pass rusher, so by putting him in coverage and not blitzing the QB, we are actually hurting the defense

In college Jordan covered slot WRs and TEs, he has the speed and agility for it, and most importantly he has the size.

I think that may be one of the aspects of his talent that most excited our staff.

Yea we have speedy LBs in Ellerbe and Wheeler that should be good in coverage, but they still aren't the answer to covering TE's.

I can see a nickel Defense where Jordan and Ellerbee/ Wheeler are the LBs, we line Jordan up man over the TE, and blitz or spy the other, depending on the QB we're facing.

I'm absolutely ecstatic about the potential our defense has with all the new speed we acquired this offseason...

    What say you?
I believe any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle...Victorious
