We Are Still Going To The SB
Miami Dolphins draft class preparing for first mini-camp!
The NFL Draft is over and the Miami Dolphins are settling into their offseason training program, and getting ready for the 2013 season. Here's a look at where the team currently stands in their preparation, and what's coming up for them.
Miami shifted into Phase Two of the offseason training program this week, meaning over the next three weeks, the team may conduct on field workouts, but the practices must be conducted on a "separates" basis, and no live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are allowed.
On May 20, the team will transition into Phase Three of the program, which is a four week long period, with up to 10 days of organized team activities, or OTAs. While there still cannot be any live contact, the team is allowed to run 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills during the OTAs.
For Miami, the OTAs will be held May 14-16, May 21-23, and May 28-31. The team already held their one voluntary minicamp April 16-18.
Each team may also hold one mandatory minicamp for veterans, which for the Dolphins will be June 11-13.
