Will Yeatman a solution at RT?

I was thinking about this yesterday i think they might want to see him on the practice field, i know Philbin is high on this guy and hes young and well we have been hearing about his name for a while with him switching from TE to OT.

    What do you guys think?

We don't know what we've got in Yeatman until we see him on the field. Philbin is a former Offensive Line Coach. He has developed talent over the years and he knows what he is doing with Yeatman. I look forward to see what we have. At a minimum he adds depth, but he might turn out to be real good.

He's an ex TE which says he should have good foot speed. He just isnt favoured. The fact all the talk is about Tackle being our weakness says what you need to know imo. His measurables says he could be a fit but the Front office moves says different.

The intrigue about Yeatman is that his athleticism would allow him to play LT if he became good at pass blocking. We're not talking about someone with good feet, we're talking about someone with very good athletic feet and the physical frame to play one of the hardest positions to find. He's beyond raw and as of last season was under weight as well. But expect this experiment to continue for a few more years until he makes it or it's clear he isn't.
"I want guys who want to make an impact on and off the field. Good human beings. Guys who want to get better. Guys who want to improve. They want to be great, want to win. Those types of guys we can work with every day." --Joe Philbin

Having athletic feet and good upper body goes hand in hand yes. Its a must. Doubt he will get 3yrs. Only so long a team will stick with a player who doesnt imput positive contribution. Unless hes a Special Team beast.

Didn't I hear all kinds of talk leading up to the draft that Lane Johnson was playing QB a couple years ago? I highly doubt hes not starting this year at tackle for the Eagles. So why would we need to wait a few years to find out if Yeatman can play? It's not like he hasn't played a position where he never had to block.

Ronnie Lee was a converted TE who Shula made into a pro bowler. It can be done.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
