Would you support a Miami-less Dolphins?

I didn't want to make this a poll. I want to hear some longer answers than yes or no. Take into consideration any city or a logo change.

Re: Would you support a Miami-less Dolphins?

Sure, though thats easy for me to say as I live on the other side of the world.

I would be very sad to see it happen. The history in Miami and the infulence the local culture has on the team is special.

I will say this though (with full knowledge I will be flamed) : Miami appears to be a city packed with glory hunters who only support winners... I say that based on reading about the heat and Marlins as well as fins. Many Miami fans and media figures think they have it tough being a Dolphin fan, how do you think Browns or Lions fans feel? I have a very low opinion of glory hunting bandwagon fans in any sport.

Obviously that doesnt apply to the many loyal fans who stick with the team through thick and thin.

The Dolphins wont move, if Ross sells he will sell it to another rich local theres plenty of money in Miami.

Always cracks me up when I see L.A. brought up as if the fanbase there is any different.

That being said, hell no. Also, for those actually hoping something like this happens, it doesn't make much sense to me to support a team in a city one despises, but whatever.

I in particular would not want them in LA. I would prefer more of a blue collar city. It makes sense however that it would be a coastal city if they keep Dolphins as a name.

Cry? About what? Being right too goddamn often?

Yo yo yo, homedawg, LA has exactly the same fanbase as Miami. They support winners and have no patience for perennial losers. Agree with that fan mindset or not, that's just hw it is. You have to know your market. They can both put up with a losing team every once in a while, but if a team isn't a legitimate contender for a championship more often than not, then they have better things to do. The Rams sucked for years and nobody went until they started competing. Once that ended, that awesome fanbase was gone again. Raiders got popular for a bit when the idiot thugbase latched on so they could pimp the black and silver look for a while, but even that died off and the team went back home.

And it's not even limited to football. Nobody even knew where the Clippers played until they started winning. Then they had to google it so they could make an appearance at the new hot ticket in town, of course, not until halftime just like Lakers fans, but they showed! Once they start to suck again, they might as well put where they play on Apple maps, because nobody will care enough to actually find it.

The football dollars in that town will continue to go to USC and UCLA until whatever team ends up there (Chargers or Raiders...again) starts winning, and only then.

Sorry but no, I was born in Miami in 1972 and have been a Dolphins fan my whole life so it wouldn't make any sense for myself to go on being a fan of the team if they moved some where else. As for other Dolphin fans, if they were from some place other than Miami or Florida then why not I say.

I'm not flaming you, doesn't that have more to do with where the coliseum is located? From some of the documentaries I've seen they out right say or imply it's a horrible part of town, unsafe essentially.
