OPINION Opinion: Ross Now Owns the Most Valuable Franchise in the Country...

Now that there is even the rumor the team could move and the prospect of a team finally relocating into the nations second largest city, LA, the value of the Dolphins must have just doubled. I don't think Ross would ever want to see the Fins move out of Florida but if a deal for over $2 billion comes in from how is he supposed to resist that kind of money? He bought the team for somewhere around $1.1 billion so that'd be quite the return and one can't guarantee a new owner would share the same loyalty to the city Ross has displayed so far.

I think the idea of Ross selling the team is just posturing by the FO but again, this must have stirred up some people to at least consider putting an offer together for the team.

    All of this talk.

I dont see the team moving at all. And if they do move, I seriously doubt its L.A. The NFL is waiting to expand and L.A will be the first city to get a brand new franchise.

Can you provide a link to this claim, or is this merely conjecture on your part?

If it's opinion, then your title is misleading.

Of course its his opinion. But like a lot of the more dense members of this forum, he states his opinion as fact so people click on his stupid thread. EDIT: sorry to be so harsh, just getting sick of relocation threads.

Not sure where the title of this came from. If somebody offered Ross 2 billion he would have a heart attack signing it away. Why would anybody spend 2 billion on a team valued at 1 billion.
The doodgers deal was very contingent on like a billion dollar tv deal that will be struck to broadcast local games. An NFL team does not have this luxury

it would be extremely sad if the miami dolphins moved out of miami, let alone to freaking los angeles.

the dolphins, despite being really below average the past decade, they still are a very storied franchise with lots of history and great players. miami is the dolphins, the heat maybe the big thing in miami now, but nothing would be more devestating to miami sports than the dolphins leaving. the panthers, marlins, and heat, really can not match up with the history this team has.

i am hoping this is a big nothing in the end, but something has to be done. this team can not move. i cant picture it

If anybody offers 2 billion for a team worth a billion Ross or anybody would never turn them down.

His bet worth is like 4.2 billion so it would be a substantial jump

The Miami Dolphins account for about 1.1 billion of that 4.2 billion dollar net worth, so yeah, it would be a jump of the difference.
I'm here to tell the truth about top secret Air Force project BAR STOOL. Gamma ray radiation from the particle accelerator under Joe Robbie Stadium is real! Get out while you can! This bad football team is just a front for something far more sinister!
