Of course the NFL wants to keep the Dolphins there. It is the #8 tv market, a great host city, and tons of tradition and NFL history.
The bad part is that it might not be up to them if there isn't a new stadium or Sun Life gets the proposed facelift it needs. A new owner could very well come in and move the team. It would suck horribly if it happens, but it could happen.
The thing is that the NFL will do whatever it can to keep the Dolphins in South Florida. Miami isn't the key here as south Palm Beach would be fine as well. The stadium as it sits now is out there, putting it in Palm Beach County would give those in Miami a little farther drive...but a drive that would be worth it. You look at teams that don't play "in" the city they call home and there are a few. Santa Clara is 45 miles away from San Francisco. Glenadale isn't in Phoenix. The Jets and Giants don't play in New York. Foxboro is 30 miles away from Boston. So it can be done.
has anyone asked Palm Beach if they want to build Ross a stadium lol
