The lack of playoffs since 2002 is sad.

We need to make the playoffs this season.

    Excellent, thanks Phindog.

Looking at Tannehill's numbers the big things that stand out are the lack of TD's (Wallace will help there) and high number of INT's. Those interception numbers were misleading as the majority of them were not from Tannehill making a poor decision or throwing with poor accuracy. Tannehill's decision making was definitely at fault for some of those, but almost none were from inaccuracy. He had several blocked at the line of scrimmage that were INT's. He had several that were clearly the receiver's fault. But, most of Tannehill's mistakes were poor decisions, and Tannehill rarely made the same mistake twice.

So, moving forward, his decision making should continue to improve, leading to less of those type of interceptions. Most of the offending pass catchers responsible for the INT's last season have been replaced, so presumably those interceptions will be reduced as well. And, by adding Wallace we finally have a deep threat for long TD's and to pull coverage off Hartline and a legitimate 3rd WR in Gibson to afford Tannehill more options. With Matthews progressing and Keller's strength being as a seam threat, Tannehill should have more ways to score.

I'm expecting a significant improvement on the TD/INT ratio this year. But, it's worth mentioning that we lost a good LT, still lack speed in the slot, and don't have a single size mismatch in the red zone. So, this may not be quite as big of an improvement in the TD department as we would all like. Still, it should be a significant improvement.
"I want guys who want to make an impact on and off the field. Good human beings. Guys who want to get better. Guys who want to improve. They want to be great, want to win. Those types of guys we can work with every day." --Joe Philbin

Got this feeling with the dust settling in his rookie season, Tannehill is gonna have a big year.

I never imagined that after 4 years of Fiedler and Wanny that things would get worse. Boy was I wrong, those almost seem like the good old days...
