What always strikes me when I go back to watch Marino highlights is how fast the ball travels down the field. Compare Marino's throws to Manning's:

I was so spoiled watching Marino that I did not truly realize how great he was until he retired.

    Clayton sure spiked with style.

I was at the playoff game against the steelers. I was 9 years old talking so much trash to steeler's fans. At one point, this grown man (twirling a sweaty yellow towel) tried to start a fight with me- but was quickly mobbed by Dolphin fans. Shortly after, Joe Robbie walked by the sidelines and I shook his had. Best day of my life!

Marino was the Man. I straight up puked when he retired at the press conference in 2000.
Made me sick to know that he left with that bitter loss at Jax.
I hated how he left. Wish it was on better terms and a championship.
At least I did get to watch a legend growing up.

I especially like the blitz pick up by backs and OL, this along with Marinos pocket awareness and quick release was a deadly combination.

I remember getting chills the first time I saw him play against the Raiders. He had special written all over him. He's one of the few players that came in and the league had to adjust to him, not the other way around.

Excellent video. I would urge all members of this site who were not fortunate enough to see Marino play to enjoy videos like this, and understand the great legacy we have as a team.
