There are plenty of optimisim-only websites. Not sure why you're not on those ones. Try www.miamidolphins.com

Nothing wrong with "pessimists," especially considering they've been right for the past decade or so. The sky wasn't falling, it was already splattered all over the ground being stomped on by the rest of the league. Sorry you couldn't see the very obvious signs that lead to our mediocrity (at best) over that period.

I prefer middle of the road myself, but certainly there has been enough negative the last 13 years, to justify a less than optimisitic approach.

LOL! No nerve struck here. Just trying to prove a point. I'm not the only who has felt that pessimism. As for me, I'm more like Wildbill. Middle of the road. IMO, that's where the majority of us fans need to be. Cautious optimism.....

Sure. I totally forgot about that discussion, while it appears you were biding your time waiting to bring it up again. Probably had it bookmarked.

Are you talking about pessimism before this offseason? Because if so, it was more than deserved because this team absolutely blew for the past decade, evidenced further by the fact that some hold the 2008 season as one of the greatest in not only Phins history, but probably NFL history. Sad really.

Now if you are talking about this offseason, bull****. It's been one of the most optimistic I've seen in a long time. You want a good barometer, read WV's threads now and last offseason vs this time every other year. Middle of the road my ass. You clearly want a bunch of male cheerleaders up in here. Not that kind of website. But thanks for telling other fans what they "need to be."

Don't forget to bookmark this one.

The random hater thumbs down is weird though. I never understand how some people thumbs down a normally benign post without any reference to it. To me, if you say something that makes me want to thumbs you down Im going to dispute with you why I think it deserved that.
If you ever happen to look at articles on Yahoo and you scroll to the comments section of an individual story, it's even more hellish there. Granted if the topic is Kim Kardashian related it's funny to see the comments b/c everyone hates her. But then you'll get a story about a dog rescuing someone or about a reunion between two people that hadn't seen each other in a long time and yet in the comment section you'll see negativity and tons of **** talking.

It's a very curious thing but it doesn't surprise me. It's easy to hide behind a computer and act like a nitwit. I just don't think people have the balls to do that in real life.

People who thumbs-down on posts linking to relevant, breaking news articles are weird.

If you really have a problem with what a poster is saying -- you think they are trolling or just being a ****head -- shouldn't you just give them negative rep? That's what it's for, right?

    Ice up, Leodis.

I dig those Yahoo comment sections if im in the mood for getting in an argument with an idiot online. Here is different for me though- I've enjoyed being a part of this community the last few months since we all really want the best for the Fins just all have different ways to show it. That's why I find it odd to have trolls just thumbs down without discussion on the most bland of comments. Or, in the case of Vaark and others, stalk people and thumbs down everything. Seems weird.

Every time I see a stupid post I remind myself we don't have this guy as a fan

The "Thanks/No Thanks" and WPA meters should all be eliminated altogether. They do nothing but create divisiveness in the forum.

I remember when I first got here and didn't know what this all was and then all of a sudden I got "bombed" for a post, just because other didn't like my stance on some subject (I don't remember what it was...) and my meter went "red". I hadn't even noticed it until then. It really pissed me off. The idea that you openly "attacking others" is promoted by these meters is a really bad idea. All it does is make others defensive and mad.
