Plus Brady didn't start out the elite qb he became, after he took over, even we beat them something like 30-0 that year, before they got hot and went on a nice run to make the playoffs.

big Tannehill fan. what sold me was his familiarity with Sherman. Need to see his development and the fact that the entire playbook can be utilzed

I am a huge Tannehill fan and expect him to take a big step up this year. But I really don't see Ryan as becoming the play making type of player Brady is. I see RT as becoming a solid game manager who can win it all with the right pieces around him. Something along the line of what Troy Aikman was in Dallas. I don't see RT ever being the type of QB that will lead the league in comebacks. But we have a LONG way to go before we really know if he is even good enough to be our starting QB for the next decade.

Yes, he was. Some around here have very selective memories concerning the Pats, some even saying they'd rather build a team around Tannehill than Brady. I love my Dolphins but that's just crazy talk.

Brady is an all time great, the chances of tannehill becoming that good are next to nothing. tannehill doesn't have to become great or become Brady, he just has to become efficient and take a step forward. if he's not hurting you then you guys should have an excellent chance at postseason.

No, he was terrible. NE was getting worse every year since their SB year in 1996. In 2000 they were 5-11, in 2001 w/ Drew starting they were 0-2 and head down a bad road again until Brady came in and instantly changed that franchise.

Huh? What were the chances that Tom Brady drafted from Michigan in the late rounds was going to have a hall of fame career? No one could have known that back then just as you or I can't know anything about the present players now and where their careers will lead them.

Pretty slim and no one expected it so why would we discuss Tannehill becoming a Brady? That would mean he's be a top 5 all time great, do you think it's fair to Ryan to discuss ludicrous expectations like that?

I was really hoping that wasn't what you were gonna say. I know it's the offseason guys, but we don't need a thread about how your not going to be good without a good QB. We get it.
