Probably hasn't been a formally faxed contract offer yet because they haven't gotten beyond the "We want you on a one year deal" vs. "We want a long term deal" stage of the negotiations process.

This is why it was so disingenuous and misleading when Jeff Ireland pointed out that one time (when he was taking heat temporarily for inability to lure free agents to Miami due to his own reputation) that he can only think of one or two players to whom he actually offered a contract that rejected the offer.

Two things here 1) it's Armando reporting and he couldn't find lice if they fell from his head dead and 2) money was discussed whether a formal contact was offered or not, I have never gone to a job interview without knowing a ball park number of what the employer was willing to offer.

I want leach because a) ECU baby b) hes the best blocking fb in the league. but hes not make or break for us. if we wouldn't signed Wallace Jennings or bowe in the offseason this I would feel the offseason was a letdown. Leach would be a very nice luxery player. a blocking FB could prob get ya + 1/4-1/2 a wins a season. I want him on the team, but if we cant get him...oh well

Exactly! We're fine with Jovorskie, is Leach better? Probably. If we land him great, if not that's fine too.

While I agree that we shouldn't overpay for him, he'd be a big pickup if we get him. Obviously the FO doesn't believe in Lane, as they've been trying hard to bring in multiple options to compete against him.

Competition is absolutely bog standard in the NFL and Javorskie Lane of all people certainly is not an exception.
"Coach Sparano assured us at the beginning of the week, they win the turnover battle, they win the game," guard Richie Incognito said. "And we went out there, turned the ball over."

Ellerbe needs to call this guy (they were teammates right?)
I am perplexed by this statement. Not sure what it is supposed to mean. would you mind elaborating?
