Personally I could care less what any of these athletes feel on social issues. I watch football to see athletes play, not to hear their social philosophies.

No to Pile o' Poop-er. He dissed the black so he can never come back.
Difference Makers dolphins should target in draft:
    Eric Ebron (TE) North Carolina
    Zack Martin (G) Notre Dame
    Calvin Pryor (S) Louisville
    Mike Evans (WR) Texas A&M
    Brandin Cooks (WR) Oregon State
    Lache Seastrunk (RB) Baylor
    Andrew Jackson (ILB) Western Kentucky

    Sure,

The nfl is full of wife beaters, drug takers, thugs, criminals etc...heck the cowboys have someone who went drink driving and killed his teammate...... Cooper used an unpleasent word at a music concert, looking at the other things the nfl is willing to accept leads me to say so what? In regards to Cooper.

He would be an upgrade for us and we already have guys on our roster (including a fb we signed this season) who have done a lot worse than said a rude word.

Im not saying what he did was acceptable or that the n word isnt disgusting, but there are a hell of a lot worse people than Cooper in this league.

Don't want him or now his accompanying baggage; but by the same token if he had the receiving skillset of say a Jordy Nelson, there'd be no debate about his possible availability cuz he wouldn't be. Beyond that, imagine how our own racist (IMO) team "reporter" would be foaming at the mouth obsessively excoriating him.

AFAIC, he's in for ****storm, maybe more so than deserved..or maybe not.. Either way, what he did was no more egregious than Tank Carder's "******," and consequently he should be accorded comparable treatment and censure.

@craigcraiglife I don't agree with being gay or lesbian at all, but saying ****** doesn't make me a homophobe, it's just a word

So you think the use of that word is worse than the dolphins player who kicked someones front door in last season?

Or Brent going drink driving and killing his teammate?

Or Vick and his well known prisonsentance?

    Spare me.

I am no one to judge what is WORSE. I am also not black to know how much that word hurts and I doubt you are either so you are no one to say how offensive or not it is to someone. What I do think is that it is more relevant in a locker room knowing that a certain person feels a certain way about you because of your skin color. A guy that beat his wife or drove drunk doesn't affect me in any way - that's between him and the law, god. But if a man loathes me because of my skin color, I can't have his back. And he didn't just say a word - he revealed what he thinks of blacks. That's the real problem.
