I covered town council meetings for the summer after my freshman year of college. I was working for a small weekly newspaper where the next youngest employee was at least 50 and most of the people were in their 70s. The owner -- who was often in the office -- literally died while I was working there.

Anyway, I don't recall any specific incident as weird as the ones in that video but they don't surprise me at all. The only people who show up to those meetings are the council members, people who have specific business before the council, unlucky journalists... and weirdos.

I was once a normal kid
Till the Devil came down and flipped my lid
He gave me a switchblade and he gave me a muse
Then he vomited acid all over my shoes

There are some crazy deals on foxconnect.com for some older tv shows and movies right now. Was able to get the entire series of Buffy and Firefly for 50 bucks.

Not sure how I posted in the fantasy football subforum, but oh well, I assume just about everyone who reads pofo, reads this as well, except me right?

Chiefs' Defense plays Washington and Oakland the next two weeks. Could've been you, Spesh.

Texans are playing Jacksonville. I like that matchup.

...Well, okay, the Texans are a train wreck and i could easily see it backfiring, but **** it, im down 60 points. If this is to be the final nail in the coffin, its somehow fitting that Chad Henne contributed to it.

Ellington isn't getting enough touches this year to be consistently productive, but I definitely think he's worth a shot on a mid-rounder next year.

For a brief moment I considered benching Frank Gore against Seattle, and playing Rice (vs Minnesota) and Jackson (vs GB), & throwing Roddy White in the flex spot.

If it was in Seattle I might have done it.

Absolutely agree. As you know, i have a high opinion of the guy, probably to an unreasonable degree.

For the life of me i cant figure out why Arians isnt using him more. Supposedly its because they were worried about Ellington getting injured, but im convinced its because Arians has some misplaced loyalty toward Mendenhall. I really didnt want to cut him, but i figured now that Arians self-fulfilling "prophecy" has come true they are probably going to sort of shut him down for the season. Well, that and i was throwing a hail mary this week and figured "**** it, season is pretty much over anyways".

    Yup.

This playoff game is a metaphor for my entire season. Just holy ****.

**** it, if my season is burning to the ground then that bitch is going to burn proper:

Jared Cook. Reacquired. Starting against a Arizona D that let him destroy them week 1.

Its only fitting we've come full circle.
