Video 1 Manny Pacquiao To Floyd Mayweather: 'Let's Get It On'

Floyd Mayweather Jr. thinks Manny Pacquiao is washed up. Manny Pacquiao thinks that means Mayweather should be more than willing to meet him in the ring.
When the former boxing champ was asked about Mayweather calling him a "has-been" by Marcos Villegas of Boxing Channel, Pacquiao smiled and invited his rival to fight.
"Let's get it on. Fight in the ring," Pacquiao responded, laughing. "I mean, whatever you can say. 'My boxing career is done.' Then fight. Try. That's good for you because you can easily beat me in the ring."
Back in July, Mayweather repeatedly taunted Pacquiao and said his "career is over."

This ship has done sailed. This fight will go down as one that should have happened but didn't. There is blame to be had on both sides but Bob Arrum really kept this fight from happening IMO.

As Thumper said, I don't think it's going to happen. There certainly have been a few chances to get a deal done but for whatever reason, it has not taken place. Many want to say that Floyd has ducked Manny. I don't think that is the case any more than I can make a case for Pac ducking Floyd. Two significant events in their negotiations make me question who is making the decisions for Manny though.

    1. In 2010 both fighters had basically agreed to get in the ring when Floyd asked for PED testing. Manny balked at that and the fight didn't happen. Now Pacquiao is demanding that Brandon Rios submit to the same type of testing! Take what you want from that....

    2. Floyd offered Manny 40 million dollars to get a deal done before he fought Marquez. That would have been the biggest payday of Manny's career. It seems that Manny wanted a 50 - 50 split which Mayweather would not agree to. As for me, I don't think that Pacquiao deserved to get equal money. He's never been able to command the same type of money that Floyd has. Why did he turn down that offer?

Finally, if Manny is so serious about "getting it on", he needs to go to the decision makers and tell them to make the deal! It's been right there a couple of times and although there has been fault on both sides, most of that fault sticks to Pacquiao's camp in my opinion. I want to see the fight as I think it could be one of the great ones. My feelings are that Mayweather would win. He doesn't have the same power as Manny but he doesn't get hit solidly as often either. Both are excellent fighters that would make for an entertaining contest. To bad we won't ever see it....

Pacquiao has lost his last two fights, and heís clearly running out of time with his career. It would be wise for him to forget about fighting Rios or Alvarado and look to take on the top fighters at welterweight like Mayweather, even if heís not one of Arumís Top Rank stable fighters. If Pacquiao wants to maximize his revenue for the remainder of his career, he canít be limited to facing Arumís less than popular fighters.

Heís got to take the very best guys and if that means Mayweather, Amir Khan or Saul ďCaneloĒ Alvarez, then thatís what Pacquiao SHOULD be doing instead of faithfully fighting the guys in Arumís stable. If Iím Koncz, Iím telling Arum that Pacquiao wants Mayweather, Khan or Canelo. Those are much bigger fights than matching Pacquiao against Rios or Alvarado.
