His press conference is the best thing ive seen all day, and i was pleased with how Miami played.
The level of self-destruction going on is outstanding. Theres a controversy every what...3 days? 4 days? Rex makes an idiotic decision then, instead of admitting the mistake or at least remaining calm, he gets combative with the press to the point of turning his back on them while answering questions because "'Murica". Simply amazing.
Rex may not make it through the season and regardless if he does or doesn't, I doubt he ever takes a job in NY again. He is showing just how overwhelmed he is becoming and it's not pretty. The NY media smells blood in the water.
I don't love it at all. Seems like he had a meltdown. Which means he's losing his cool. Which means he's losing control. Which means he's losing respect. Which means he's becoming an embarrassment. Which means eventually, the owner will step in and decapitate. Which means the circus might come to an end. Which is a bad thing for us, bc the Jets being a three ring circus is AWESOME.
He's just not a head coach. Great d coordinator, likeable personality but very questionable leadership ability. What coach plays your starting qb in the 4th qtr with 3rd string lineman in the game? Think how pissed we were at Philbim last week for playing Keller in the 2nd qtr. there is no excuse for his decisions.
I just hope that before Rex is fired he gives us a Dennis Green or Jim Mora quality rant. That press conference last night was awesome.
"I worry about wins; I don't worry about meaningless fantasy #s"
(fine for RT17 but not when it comes to someone's HC and beloved QB)
Watching this game makes it ridiculously funny that Wrecks Ryan is trying to win. I almost felt sorry for Wrecks standing in front of the media in meltdown mode.
