Yea on Finheaven and in the standings, but it wouldn't of changed the team and the lack of depth on the team or the woeful oline.

I'm happy for Clay, enjoyed watching Tulsa games to see him dominate on the field. He isn't a "dynamic playmaker" though, he is making plays when called upon and I hope he continues to improve. He's been by far the biggest positive surprise on this offense . . . hell the entire team. Without him we'd probably not have as good of a record as we do right now.

But we had "picks and money" right? So we are in the 2nd year of a "changing team", so we cut 2 of our 3 starting LB's . . .a group that was pretty solid, and instead of addressing the oline, we keep everybody from last year, sign a power scheme Clabo and Dallas Thomas who everybody has pegged as a guard but in the first preseason game you try him at LT? It's like drafting Olivier Vernon as a pass rusher when his entire career his been dominate against the run. It doesn't make any sense.

Don't know how Eric Winston is doing, but he actually FIT the scheme, yet we lowball the hell out of him I bet. At some point you Ireland guys need to realize the man hasn't been very good, especially in the draft and in regards to the offensive line.

So you are going to fault a GM on his picks in the "butter rounds" (who the **** came up with the word butter rounds anyway?) because 3rd and 4th rounders don't contribute immediately? I think you need to put that in context and take a look at all how many draft picks in those rounds are immediately successful. And yes, if we are 4-1, we wouldn't be talking about weather the Fins will ever be relevant with Ireland.

Ireland just needs to go, sry but he's not good enough. Even if we're 4 and 1 that still would not make us a Super Bowl contender. This team at best could make it to the playoffs and loose in the first round. The ol is so bad that it all depends on how well they do if we have any success this year...

Ok, it's not his fault that for the past 3 years the guys picked in rounds 2 - 4 aren't making major contributions , I mean how do you think teams are made? Do you think its all through Free Agency or something? We need to do better in those rounds. Jeff Ireland is just the guy "now" . . . this has been an ongoing problem for over a decade. Our drafts have been pathetic and its the #1 reason why we haven't done much of anything since the Marino days.

if you recall last year we were 4-3 after 7 games. this year after we hopefully beat buffalo and definitely lose to the cheats we'll be 4-3. how exactly have we improved from last yr? if carpenter wasnt a choke artist we could have easily been 5-2 or 6-1 last yr after 7 games. ireland bragged about having picks and money yet our oline is far worse than last year and the secondary is just as bad as last year. i dont even want to get into the draft cause we had 3 high picks and all we have to show for it is a 3rd down specialist and jamar taylor, who is nowheres near being a contributor..ireland should fire himself.

Ireland is soo predictable. Watch next year we let big Paul go create another hole, draft ol that suck or sign free agents that suck. Then he'll do a masterful trade(btw trades r the only thing Ireland is good at) just toaft another eggnog. It's the same bs yr in yr out. Most ppl seem to be brainwashed by Ireland. It's cray cray...

Every year, it's the 'offensive line needs to be upgraded' and something else (though the secondary always sucks too). Every year, our O-line AND secondary sucks. Every. Year.

The sad thing is THIS was actually the year to go all in. If you had fixed your O-line and signed at least one more good DB, like Talib who was out there for a LONG TIME waiting to be signed, or at least 2-3 other proven NFL defensive backs, we'd be playoff lock because our QB is good enough. We saved some cap space for next year. Whoopee! This season's gonna go down the crapper as our QB gets sacked 100 f'n times and our secondary gets lit up week after weak.

Next year, it's gonna cost us a fortune to keep the D-line from falling apart (we saw how horrible it was when Solai was out) and keep Grimes. By the time that money is spent, what's left?
I'm sorry, but 2014 looks nowhere near as rosy as people imagine it to be. We're still gonna suck at O-line because Ireland will be addressing it and we're still gonna suck at defensive back because Ireland is gonna be the one addressing it. I wouldn't put it past Ireland to draft a fullback with concussion issues. Ireland's a mad dog idiot.

Our GM signed our coaches too, right? I don't know if our coaches are too afraid to speak to power, or just suck at developing talent and creating schemes to utilize it.

This only affects we the fans, though, right? Everyone's gettin' paid and we're the ones paying it. How much are NFL games right now to attend? Average price is over $100, right?

If I lived in Miami, Ross's car would often be covered in egg.

The players that he drafted for Joe Philbin in round 2-4 are contributing. 3 of them started yesterday. One of them caught a game winning TD against Atlanta. 2 others have been injured - give them a chance. Its pretty comical that you guys fire up these threads after every loss like you could do better...its really not worth debating until we see how this season turns out.
